Weekly Check-in

Happy Wednesday Team!

I hope your week is off to a great start!  This marks day 3 of our 14 day clean eating challenge and so far so good!  I like the extra push it’s giving me to tighten up my diet and make sure I’m fueling my body with healthy foods.  Sometimes just having a little extra accountability helps 🙂  It’s also great timing because next week is our final week of P90X3!  Crazy that the end of our first round is so close, it just shows how fast time flies.

My success tip for the week is to stay away from comparing yourself to others.  I know this can be incredibly hard to do.  It’s really easy to watch an infomercial, or follow a fitness model/bodybuilder/etc and really want to look like that person.  Seems like everyone in the bodybuilding world wants to look like Arnold 🙂  But you have to remember that your body is different and is never going to look exactly like someone else’s.  What you should be focusing on is improving yourself and not worrying about what other people look like/weigh/can lift/etc.  It’s easy to get discouraged when you start comparing, so don’t go down that road!

I thought one of my posts this week was pretty timely considering our nutrition challenge.  It’s titled Trigger Points and it’s really talking about those times of the day or emotional situations that just make you want to eat.  Do you struggle with mindless snacking or sometimes just eating to feel better?  Check out that article for some tips on how to combat that.  The other article I posted this past week is about the footwear I’ve been using lately.  I get quite a few questions on shoes to wear, so you can check out my take on minimalist shoes.

We’re just about 90 days into the year at this point.  If you are going strong, keep it up!  If you’ve struggled to start, just think about how fast this (almost) 90 days has gone?  You could basically have completed a whole round of P90X and be on the right track to improving your health.  So quit putting it off and start now.  90 days will go quick, but if you stick with it you’ll be glad you did.  If you need help figuring out what to do let me know!
