Weekly Check-In

Happy Wednesday Team!

I got super busy last week, so sorry about missing that weekly check-in!  It’s pretty crazy that January is already over!  Did you accomplish what you wanted to in January?  Is 2014 off to a good start or do you need a little boost now that it’s February?  This is about the time that some people start losing a bit of motivation, but I don’t want that to be you!  I know we have a lot of people going strong with P90X3, which has been a blast so far!

We just finished up the first phase and are on to Phase 2.  So that means all new workouts, which I really enjoy.  If you’re curious about P90X3, go check out my P90X3 Phase 1 Review.  I talk about each workout individually and give you my overall impressions of the program so far.  It really has been fun, and I’m excited to see the 90 day results of our Challenge Group!

Of course I can’t forget my success tip for this week.  This one comes from the man who ran the agency I worked for right out of college.  He said he only needed two things to know what someone’s priorities were.  Do you know what they are?  It’s their checkbook and calendar.  Now I know people don’t balance their checkbooks anymore for the most part, so maybe a credit card statement would be more appropriate, but the point is where you spend your money and where you spend your time will indicate what your priorities are.  When you look at those two things, do they reflect what you want?  When it comes to your health, are you prioritizing it?  Or does it get put on the back burner?  My suggestion would be to take a look at those two things and see if they show what you want them too.

There have been a couple exciting Team Beachbody announcements as well the past two weeks.  On Monday, the 21 Day Fix was released.  I think this is going to have a huge impact!  It’s a 3 week program, with 30 minute bootcamp style workouts and teaches you portion control.  You actually get containers to measure your food out.  I don’t know about you, but portion control has always been a struggle for me.  This will really teach you how much you should be eating in a way that’s pretty easy.  Right now I heard the base kit is on hold, shipping in March, but the Challenge Pack (which is an awesome deal, you basically get the program for $10) is shipping now.  So go check that out: 21 Day Fix Details.  A new flavor of Shakeology was also released in case you missed that.  It’s Strawberry and mine should be getting here soon, so I’m excited to give that a try!  I also wrote a post on IIFYM, which looks like a really weird acronym, but it’s a pretty popular way of eating.  So if you’re like me and have seen the acronym but had no idea what it means, check that article out.
