Weekly Check-In

Happy Wednesday Team!

I hope this week is going well for everyone!  Those of us in the Body Beast Challenge have been totally rocking it and pushing each other to keep with our workouts and hit our goals.  It’s really fun to be a part of that group because I know everyone else is committed which helps me stay on track too.  I run challenge groups pretty frequently, so if you’ve been struggling to find motivation to do your workouts or stick to your nutrition, I would definitely recommend joining my next challenge group!

Along those lines, I’m planning ahead for what my next challenge group will be.  With the release of P90X3 in 21 days (!!!!) it seems like a perfect time to put an X3 Challenge together.  I’ll put more details out as we get closer to the release date, but I would love to tackle that program with some of you!  Can’t believe it’s only 3 weeks away, I am extremely excited to crush the program!  I’ll probably be starting the program the first Monday in January, so we can kick off 2014 the right way!

My success tip  this week comes from John Maxwell’s book,  The 15 Invaluable laws of Growth.  It is an awesome read which I highly recommend.  On page 45 he says, “If there is an area of your life that seems overwhelming…try chipping away at it a little bit every day instead of trying to tackle it all at once.”  I think that is great advice.  Take for example your health, losing weight, etc.  I think it can be daunting to think that you need to lose X amount of lbs or you need to lower your cholesterol by X amount, especially if that number is large.  In reality, you need to chip away at the weight little by little.  You need to start moving and you need to start eating healthier.  Do you have to make drastic changes right away?  Absolutely not.  You need to make small changes, and stay consistent with them.  Do them day in and day out and progressively make more incremental changes.  When you stay consistent over a long period of time you end up seeing incredible results and you can reach your goals.

So if you need to, start making those small changes today!  What can you do today to help you take a step towards your health and fitness goals??
