Weekly Check-In

Happy Wednesday TNB!

It’s the second week of September and fall is coming quick!  What I’ve seen in the past is that the fall is when people can really fall off the fitness train.  For some reason motivation seems to lack during the fall.  It’s easy to let things go and then slide into winter.  Before you know it you’re making a New Year’s resolution to get back on track.  Don’t let that be you!  I want you to have an amazing fall, where you’re making big strides towards your goals.  Plug in with our team and me and lets keep pushing hard!

The success tip this week comes from John Maxwell’s book The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth.  I think this applies directly to health and fitness.  He says “The longer you wait to do something you should do now, the greater the odds that you will never actually do it.”  He calls it the Law of Diminishing Intent.  Have you experienced this?  I know I have.  Have you ever gone through your day and said to yourself that you will get your workout in eventually?  But you put it off and do other things.  Before you know it you’re too tired or it’s too late and you don’t do it.  Or this can even apply to starting a program in general.  “I’ll start tomorrow” or “I’ll start next week” are easy things to say but hard things to actually do.

So if you know there’s something you need to do, do it now!  Don’t put it off.  If you need to start your workout program, start it today.  If you’ve been meaning to pack a healthy lunch for work, pack it this morning.  Procrastination can really kill motivation so don’t let that happen to you.

This past week I did post a couple times.  The first was my advice on doubles schedules.  Go check out that article if you’ve been thinking about doing doubles.  Also I posted the Team Beachbody sale for September.  If you’re a Shaun T fan then you’re in luck this month 🙂  I’m still working on my “quick fixes” post but will get that up this coming week.

Also just wanted to give a heads up that I won’t be able to send this check-in next week as I’ll be out of town for work.  But I’ll still be bringing it with my workouts and nutrition while I’m gone!  You can always reach me on Facebook too, so don’t worry I’ll be here if you have questions.  As always don’t hesitate to reach out to me, I love hearing from all of you!
