Weekly Check-In

Happy Wednesday Team!

One thing I want to start doing is share a success tip with you every week.  Like I mentioned before, I’ve been reading some great personal development books and am involved in some great training, so I want to share that with you!  So plan on seeing that first thing in my check-in from now on.

This week’s success tip: In The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, he mentions a study that shows that Americans over the age of 12 average about 1,704 hours a year watching TV.  That averages to about 4.7 hours a day.  That’s crazy!  I hear excuses from people all the time because they’re too busy.  So my challenge to you, if you think you’re too busy to eat healthy, cook or workout, is to shut the TV off.  If you have things you’re not accomplishing but you’re still watching TV, you absolutely have time to do the things that will move you in a healthy direction.

If you haven’t read The Compound Effect, I highly recommend it!  It will most definitely help you analyze what you’re doing and how you can make small changes to help you reach your goals.

As of today, when I get to 12:30 minutes left in my workout I’ll be exactly half way through my first round of Focus T25!  It’s going by fast, but it’s been a great run so far.  If you want a serious workout in only 25 minutes, 5 days a week, I highly recommend it.  I am usually pouring sweat by the time I’m done with these workouts.

My posts this last week were very Shaun T focused.  I wrote my review of the Focus T25 Beta Phase.  I’m loving the new workouts and the fact that we get to add weights to the moves.  It makes you bring a whole new level of focus.  Also yesterday, I posted an awesome motivational video made by Shaun T.  If you need a little boost, I would suggest checking that out.
