Weekly Check-In

Hey Team!

How did your first full week of 2013 go?  Have you been kicking it into gear after the holidays?  I know it can be tough to get back into the swing of things, but often after all the holiday food we need to!  I know I have a renewed focus and have really been hitting it hard so far this year.  I know those of you in our Facebook group have been too, I love seeing everyone posting there!

I just started my P90X Body Beast Hybrid and so far I am loving it.  I think it’s going to be a great way to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.  Plus I designed it to hit the major body parts (chest, legs, back) twice a week instead of the usual once a week.  I’m excited to see how that works out.  If you have both programs, I would highly recommend checking out the hybrid.

This past week I posted twice.  For you Biggest Loser fans, I posted about what I call the Biggest Loser Syndrome.  I would love to hear your comments on what you think about that, if you’ve noticed it yourself or not.  I also posted about cutting liquid calories.  This is a no brainer if you’re looking for an easy to way cut down your calories.  Drink water!  It’s easy to drink an extra 200-400 calories a day and not really get full from it.  I know that’s a big game changer for some people.

One thing I’m excited about is that I just saw that my new, customer approved Chocolate Shakeology has shipped.  If you’ve followed this you know that Beachbody changed the formula for the Chocolate Shakeology and many people did not like the change.  Well they heard you all and decided to make some improvements.  From what I’ve heard, the new flavor is the best yet, but I’ll let you know my thoughts later this week when it arrives.

As always, I would love to hear from you!  Are you getting started again with the new year or are you still going strong?  Maybe you still need a little more motivation.  Whatever the case, know that I am here for you and am excited to help you reach your goals for 2013!

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and video, PLEASE help me out by sharing them.  Click the share links below them and share them on FB, Stumbleupon, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow Team New Body!

2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamnewbody.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!

I started the P90x/body beast hybrid about a week ago and I've enjoyed it so far. i like that the hybrid includes body weight exercises such pull ups and pushups, which gives you a break from the weights and that is very beneficial. I still get my cardio in about three times a week and i'm feeling pretty good. I think ill continue doing this program for about 6 weeks after my first round since i don't think its good to switch programs too often. Do you plan on sticking with the same routine after the 3 phases or are you going to switch it up?

Hey Ivan! That's great that you're enjoying the P90X/Body Beast hybrid! I really like the variety it provides too. I'm definitely enjoying it so far. I typically like to plan in 3-4 month phases, but haven't decided what I'll do after I finish the hybrid. I might incorporate P90X2 and Asylum 1/2 after this hybrid but we'll see. It will depend on how I'm feeling after the 3rd phase.
