Weekly Check-In

Hey Team New Body!

I hope your weeks are all going well!  I’ve been a little under the weather this past week which is super unusual.  I can’t really remember the last time I got sick.  Turns out I have strep throat too!  So I guess that explains why things haven’t been getting better.  If I’ve been a little slower at getting back to you this past week, that’s why.  I’ve been trying to sleep a little more to get over this.  But should be good to go soon.  Not that it’s been keeping me from my workouts though!

Speaking of which, I just finished up the first phase of Body Beast.  You can read my Body Beast Build Phase Review if you want to hear about how the workouts compare to other programs and how the Beast is going so far.  The first phase is only 3 weeks, and I like to track progress monthly, so I’ll post some progress pictures and details next week after I get to day 30.  It’s really fun to do this program with a whole Challenge Group too because we’re all new to it and experiencing the same thing at the same time.  It’s definitely an atmosphere where we can push each other and be held accountable which is a big plus.

Last week I also posted about what you can do if you’ve skipped a workout.  It’s a frequent question that comes up and I think it’s important to address.  Obviously the ideal answer is to not skip a workout, but most likely at some point in your life you’re going to have to skip one.  So what should you do then?  Check out that article for my thoughts.

I’ve got a few posts lined up for the coming week or two, so make sure to keep checking back in.  I like doing video posts as well, so keep a lookout for those too.  I also wanted to remind everyone of one thing too:
