Weekly Check-In

Hey Team New Body!

Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start!  It’s always nice to get going Monday morning with a new week, especially if you’ve had somewhat of an off weekend?  Do you ever struggle with the weekend?  It just seems like an easy time to forget your nutrition plan or have a set schedule for your workouts for some reason.  Anyone else feel that way sometimes?  If you do ever have bad weekends, Monday is a great day to re-start and get back on track.

I don’t usually venture too far away from strictly fitness, but I do think it’s cool that the Republican VP pick, Paul Ryan, is a big P90X fan himself.  No matter what party you support, I hope you can agree that he’s at least doing a good thing for his health and he’s inspiring some others to join him too.  Sounds like he gets other people in Congress working out with him as well, here’s a little snippet about that: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/post/paul-ryan-the-p90x-vp/2012/08/11/1c116882-e3df-11e1-a25e-15067bb31849_blog.html  Anyways, just thought it was cool because it’s again showing the popularity of P90X (I’ve heard he does Insanity too) and he’s supportive of a healthy lifestyle.

If you missed the posts, I wrote a couple that I think would be helpful to read.  If you’ve ever wondered how I stay motivated in the long term or if you struggle with motivation yourself you should read this: Staying Motivated.  And if you’re doing Insanity, whether or not you’ve gotten to month 2 yet, I did write up an article to help you prepare or at least to let you know how I felt when I got to month 2.  You can check out that HERE.

I’ve also received a couple of very encouraging messages from some team members about their success.  And I just wanted to remind everyone that I love to show off your success to the rest of the team.  I do that because I want to show everyone what’s possible, and I find that seeing other people succeed can be very motivating.  So if you’ve had a lot of success in reaching your goals, I would love to let everyone know about it!  Your story could be the difference for one person from quitting and giving up or sticking with it and leading a healthy lifestyle.  It really is impactful.  So please send me your success stories!
