Weekly Check-In

Hey Team New Body!!

I hope your weeks are all going great!  I’m pretty much at my half-way mark for my P90X P90X2 Hybrid and I’m really loving this schedule.  If you like resistance training and want to get stronger or put on some size I think it’s a great option to follow.  And I don’t know about you all but it’s getting very hot and humid where I am.  Currently 83 and sticky in my apartment.  It definitely makes for some sweaty workouts!  If you’re in a similar situation, please make sure to drink plenty of water!  I know I’m having a hard time staying hydrated and it’s something I really have to focus on throughout the day.  So with summer pretty much here, that’s something to keep in mind for everyone.  These workouts are intense, and when temperatures go up you’re going to lose more water through sweat, so I want to make sure you all stay safe!

Also, this coming week is Beachbody’s Summit event, where coaches from all around the nation get together.  It’s a time for training, building community, and learning about the new, exciting stuff coming out from Beachbody.  Unfortunately I couldn’t go this year, but as I hear about different things coming up from Beachbody I will be sure to fill you all in as well.  So stay tuned for more info there.

If you missed them this past week I posted some interesting articles.  One was pretty timely, as I was out of commission for a little bit.  I know they are really unfortunate, but injuries do happen.  And it’s important to be safe and have a long term view of your health when they do.  So if you missed it, check out the article Working Out While Injured.  I also had a couple supplement posts as well.  I know many of you are excited for Body Beast to come out, so I posted some info on Body Beast Supplements, as Beachbody is coming out with a new line of supplements to help you maximize your gains with the program.  I also posted some of my favorite Tropical Shakeology recipes.   There really are a ton of different ways to make it, but those are some of my favorites.

I have some more posts planned for the upcoming week, but if there is anything you want me to research and write on feel free to let me know, I’m always up for some ideas.  I write these for you all so don’t hesitate if there’s something that you’re wondering about!

Also, on a completely side tangent, the new show American Ninja Warrior is awesome.  It’s pretty much the definition of what functional fitness looks like.  Those guys are super impressive.  So check that out if you get a chance!
