Weekly Check-In

Hey Team New Body!

Well I had a somewhat exciting weekend, not in a good way unfortunately.  I like to use my fitness in the competitive realm, so I sub on my brother’s softball team during the summer.  Unfortunately I took a bad hop to the face which ended up with 3 stitches inside and 3 stitches outside my upper lip.  Thankfully I kept all my teeth, though!  And I made sure to ask the doctor about workout restrictions and she said to lay low for only 24 hours, so I’m only 1 day behind schedule 🙂  So it could have been much worse and glad to report that I’m on the mend now.

How do you typically handle injuries?  I know for me they are very frustrating, especially if it keeps me from working out for a long time.  I’ll be following up with a post about working out while injured this coming week, so stay tuned for that.

I also wanted to highlight something I’ve worked on and maybe you’ve noticed on the website.  I get a lot of questions from people about what I have done to get great results with programs like P90X and Insanity, especially those who are just starting out.  I even posted yesterday for those who are just Starting P90X.  But what I wanted to highlight today is the video training series that I’ve rolled out.  It’s 5 free videos where I lay out exactly what I’ve done to get my results and what I would advise you to do when you’re starting out.  I know there is a ton of info initially, so I’m hoping that the video series can help you learn what the important points are that are really going to help you out.  So I would highly encourage you all to check it out, and all you need to do is fill in your name and email address in the form on the right and click “Get Videos Now”.  Check it out and let me know what you think!

I also posted a couple other important articles.  The first was about tracking calories with myfitnesspal.  This is an awesome tool that I use to keep my nutrition on track.  It’s super easy to use and gives you great data.  I also posted about the Body Beast Equipment that you’ll need for the program and What To Do For Sore Muscles, because if you’re starting out a new program I’m sure you’re going to be sore 🙂

I’ve got a number of other posts lined up for this week so keep checking the site regularly.  If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment here on the website or shoot me a message as well!  I want to know how you’re all doing!

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and video, PLEASE help me out by sharing them.  Click the share links below them and share them on FB, Stumbleupon, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow Team New Body!

2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamnewbody.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
