Weekly Check-In

Hey Team New Body!

For those of you in the U.S., I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend, and for those who have served our country in the military or have family members who have I thank you for your service!  I also hope you were all able to spend time with family and friends over the long weekend.  And if you stayed on track using some of my Healthy Memorial Day Tips, that’s great!  If you struggled a bit to stay healthy over the weekend, then it’s just time to get back on track.  Everyone is going to have a slip-up here or there, but it’s important to have a long-term focus here and get back on track quickly.

Over the last week I posted about a couple of seemingly very hot topics that I get questions about quite often.  The first being about Alcohol and Exercise.  I know this is a big question for many people.  How have you handled it in your nutrition plan?  Do you cut it out completely or not?  The second was about How To Bulk.  I know this is one of the biggest topics that concern the guys out there.  Many, many people have it as their goal to bulk up a bit and put on some muscle.  If that’s you, I highly recommend reading that article for some tips on what’s worked for me.

On that note, Beachbody has a very exciting program coming out called Body Beast.  This will specifically be targeting those who want to put on some real size.  I know they’re running test groups, so I’m very excited to see results from people who have been doing the program.  I’ll be putting together a little preview post this week, so check back for that.

I’ll also be writing on the topic of sleep and why it’s important, especially when you’re doing a Beachbody fitness program.  I know I don’t always get enough, but the post will highlight why that can be hurting your results and what the benefits are to getting a full night’s sleep.
