Weekly Check-In

Hey Team!

I realized it’s been a while since I’ve sent a check-in out to you, so my apologies for that!  Things have been pretty busy around here but I haven’t forgotten about our team!  There’s a lot of action going on in our Team Facebook Group, so don’t forget to join that if you haven’t already.

So how have the first three weeks of 2015 been treating you?  Have you been following my tips on how to have a successful New Year’s resolution?  If you’re getting started or re-started, I think that article is a great place to start.  New Year’s resolutions don’t have to fail, you can absolutely reach your goals.  It just takes commitment and determination.

I recently started my 3rd straight round of Body Beast and I’m absolutely loving it.  This round will be a little bit different for me.  So far I’ve been trying to bulk up, and now it’s time to shed some of the fat I’ve put on.  When building muscle, you’re typically going to put on some fat as well, it’s just part of the process.  But now it’s time to cut back the calories a bit and add in a little more cardio!  It feels like this workout was made for me, and I love that about Body Beast!

My success tip for this week is to push through your workouts on those days when you don’t feel motivated.  I get asked about motivation all the time.  How do you stay motivated?  What should I do if I don’t feel motivated?   Well you won’t always feel motivated to workout or eat right, that’s just the truth.  You will have off days, days where you feel tired, etc.  But what you can do is push play.  You can put that DVD in and do your workout.  Maybe it won’t be the best workout you’ve ever had, but it’s light years above skipping it entirely.  So don’t fall into the trap of feeling like you need to be motivated to be successful.  Sure it helps and it’s nice when you have that motivation, but your success will come when you still push through even when you don’t 100% feel like doing it.
