Weekly Check-In

Happy Wednesday Team!

I hope May is starting off well for you!  I might be a little biased since my birthday was on the 3rd, but I think May is the absolute best month of the year!  It’s finally warm enough to not wear a coat outside and we can get back into summer activities.  We’ve been taking a lot more walks and went on our first bike ride of the season this past weekend.  I think I actually got very slightly sunburned, and I don’t mind that at all!  It’s this time of year when it can be a lot easier to get more active and do some things outside that are fun but also a bit of a workout.  So if you’re looking for some variety in your workouts, try going on a bike ride, a walk or a run outside, go hiking, etc.

Also being that it’s May, we’re getting closer to summer.  It can be a time when you want to go to the beach or lake, and I know that can be a big motivator for people to get in shape.  So if you’ve been slacking a bit or have had trouble staying motivated, my success tip is to just hop right back into it this week.  Believe it or not, you don’t have to start a workout plan or eating healthy on a Monday!  The best thing you can do if you’ve been a little disappointed in your commitment to your health is to just get right back into it.  Don’t wait for the perfect timing.  Don’t wait until you feel really motivated.  Do it now.  I hear from too many people who are waiting for the perfect time to start.  In reality, that perfect time will probably never come, and you’ll be much better off if you just get started today.  If your health is important to you, don’t procrastinate on this!

Things have been a bit slow at the blog, but I have some good articles in mind that I plan on posting in the coming weeks. One that I’m really excited about is on Non-Scale Victories, which I think is a great topic to address and one that we can all benefit from thinking about.
