Weekly Check-In

Happy Wednesday Team!

I hope this week is treating you well!  It feels like many people on our team are really hitting their stride which is fun to see!  I love that our team motivates and supports each other.  If you feel like you’re missing out a bit, don’t forget to connect with our Facebook Group.  That’s where our team really connects and is a safe place to ask questions, share struggles and share victories.  So if you’re not in there, go join!

This week is our start to the P90X/P90X2/P90X3 Hybrid I created and so far so good!  I can tell I really got used to the 30 minute workouts.  Now going for 45 or 50 minutes can definitely feel a little long.  But I’m also finding that I can bring some new intensity to those workouts which has been fun.  I still have most of Tony’s lines from P90X memorized, so it’s good to see I didn’t lose that 🙂  If you’ve done P90X you know what I’m talking about.

My success tip for the week comes from John Maxwell’s book, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth. On page 82 he says, “Anyone who dos what he must only when he is in the mood or when it’s convenient isn’t going to be successful.”  This gets at a conversation I find myself having with people pretty frequently around motivation.  When you get started on your fitness journey, your motivation is likely pretty high.  Or to put it a different way, you’re in the mood to eat healthy and exercise.  But what happens when the mood passes or your life gets a little busy?  You lose motivation and end up having to restart.  That’s frustrating!  So instead, when you can discipline yourself to make it a habit to exercise daily and eat well daily, it will be much easier to continue when that initial motivation is gone.

So I hope you’re doing what you need to daily to create those good habits!

This past week on the blog I posted the hybrid mentioned above and I also posted an article about Spot Training.  Spot training is the idea that you can work one specific part of your body and see more fat loss there than in other parts of your body.  Sounds nice, right?  Go check out the article to read more on that.  I also just wanted to note that the deals for April are ending today!  So if you were looking to pick up Focus T25 or Brazil Butt Lift, don’t forget to check out the April Discounts.

As we go into May, I would love to hear where you’re at with your health and also where you would like to be.  I love hearing your goals and think it’s important to share them, so let me know!

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and video, PLEASE help me out by sharing them.  Click the share links below them and share them on FB, Stumbleupon, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow Team New Body!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamnewbody.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
