Weekly Check-In

Happy Wednesday Team!

I hope your weeks are all going great!  Even though I can still find snow on the ground in some places, I think it’s finally time we can put our winter jackets away here.  It already seems like people are generally in a better mood.  One thing I get excited about is getting outside to go on walks, ride our bikes, etc.  It’s a great way to get some exercise and have fun.  Do you have any activities you like to do outside in the summer?  I know we have some runners on the team, but I would love to hear what other things you like to do when it’s warm enough to do them.

Rochelle is out of town this week so I’m flying solo with the Elite Block of P90X3.  This is the last week of the intense workouts and I think my body is ready for a bit of a break!  Alternating between 2 extremely intense workouts has been tough!  But I’ve been moving up in weight and challenging myself and feel good about what I’m accomplishing.  I’ll probably take a recovery week and then hop right into and all X hybrid I created.  It has workouts from P90X, P90X2 and P90X3!  Can you tell I’m a Tony Horton fan??  I’ll get that posted on the blog this week so you can check it out too.

My success tip for this week actually stems from a conversation we had in our Facebook Group.  There’s a saying, “You can’t out-train a bad diet.”  Meaning, no matter how hard you push yourself in your workout, if your nutrition isn’t in line with your goals you’re not going to make the progress you want.  If you’re trying to lose weight, and eat more calories than you burn in a day you’re not going to see the scale budge.  Likewise, if you eat way too few calories, you’re going to slow your metabolism down and also not lose weight.  I experienced this first-hand with Insanity.  During month 1 I worked out hard, but didn’t follow my nutrition plan.  Guess what, I lost 0 lbs!  Then month 2 came, I dialed in my nutrition and started drinking Shakeology and lost 17 lbs!  I’m living proof that this saying is true.

Nutrition can be the toughest part for many people.  So if you struggle with this, don’t worry, you’re not alone!  I can help get you going in the right direction. My goal as a Coach is to help you be successful.  That’s why I do this, so if you’ve been getting frustrated, reach out to me!  I want people on our team to get healthy and reach their goals.

Make this a great week!

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and video, PLEASE help me out by sharing them.  Click the share links below them and share them on FB, Stumbleupon, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow Team New Body!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamnewbody.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
