Happy Wednesday Team!

Welcome to April!  I always find a good April Fools joke pretty funny, did any of you pull a good prank yesterday?  My Coach pulled a pretty funny one, although I wasn’t fooled for a second.  In any case I’m glad that we’re getting to warmer temps!  That means more time outside and hopefully some time at the beach this summer!  Are you feeling good about where your progress is at right now or do you need to buckle down a bit here to get in shape for summer?  If you need a little help Team Beachbody has a little Summer Slimdown Challenge to help you get there, I’ll post more details on Friday so make sure to check for that.

Until then, my success tip for this week will help I think.  My tip this week is to plan ahead.  A very wise saying says that if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.  I can completely relate to this saying too.  As part of our 14 Day Nutrition Challenge, I’ve had every meal planned out for two weeks.  It has been VERY easy to stick to the plan because I don’t have to think about it that day.  I know exactly what I should be eating which makes meal prep faster.  I partially started the challenge to help myself in this area.  When I leave dinner to be just whatever I come up with that day, it’s actually kind of stressful and it can look easier to just grab dinner from a restaurant.  The same thing goes for your workouts.  Know what program you’re doing, which workout you’re doing each day and when you’re going to do it.  If you plan it out, it will be a lot harder to skip.  It doesn’t have to be in the morning, like Rochelle and I do, but make sure it’s a time that you can stick to. Try a two week challenge for yourself where you plan out your workout and your meals and I will bet you’ll find it’s much easier to stick with the plan!

We’ve been sticking to our plan and are on our last week of Phase 3 of P90X3!  It would be the end of our first round, but we’ve decided to do the Elite Block, so we’re taking it to day 120.  I really want to give the Elite workouts a go as I’ve had a number of questions on them from the team.  I just posted my Review of Phase 3 and in the next couple weeks I’ll be posting my review and results from our first 90 days.

This past week I also posted an article about Fast Food and how bad it is for you.  If you’re someone who finds it tempting to hit up fast food restaurants, I would strongly urge you to read the article.  It’s a little scary how bad some of those foods are for you!
