Thanksgiving Check-In & Beachbody Black Friday Sale

Happy early Thanksgiving team!

I just wanted to say thank you for being an awesome team to be a part of!  You continually motivate me and keep me focused on my health which I love, and hopefully our team provides a place for you to stay encouraged by seeing other people striving to get healthy and fit too.  So as we’re focusing on what we’re thankful for, this team is top on my list!

My success tip this week is around how to make your Thanksgiving a bit healthier.  I’m not big on completely eliminating foods from your diet, because restriction can lead to binge eating when you finally do give in and have that food.  Rather, I think it’s important to focus on portion control.  I think that can go for food and for drink.  Sure, have some pumpkin pie, but don’t make it a huge slice and have just one slice.  When it comes to drinks, stick to mostly water.  You’ll be getting plenty of calories in without drinking a ton of them.  Liquid calories add up fast and typically don’t make you feel very full.  Also, since many people don’t work, and festivities might be starting in the afternoon, do your best to get a workout done in the morning!  Every year my family runs a 5K in the morning, and it’s a great way to start of burning calories instead of eating them 🙂

And if you do eat a ton on Thanksgiving, have a plan to get back at it.  The 3 Day Refresh would actually be an awesome idea to help get you back on track and to help you lose what you gain over the holiday.
