Thanksgiving Check-In

Happy Thanksgiving team!  (for those of you in the US at least)

I know I’m a day early, but I wanted to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving!  I hope that you get to spend time with family or friends tomorrow and also reflect on what you have to be thankful for.  I personally am very thankful to have such an awesome team!  You all really motivate me and I’ve really enjoyed having the opportunity to be your coach, so thank you!  My health is definitely another thing I’m thankful for, and I’m excited to run a 5K with my family tomorrow to get the day started off right 🙂

I know Thanksgiving is often filled with tons of food too and sometimes not a whole lot of activity.  According to a little research I did, the average American will consume anywhere from 3000-5000 calories on Thanksgiving!  That’s insane!  I know most people will eat more than normal, but that number is shocking.  You can absolutely enjoy yourself without eating 5000 calories, in fact I think you wouldn’t really be feeling too good if you do eat 5000 calories.  So tomorrow, go against the grain and don’t overindulge like that.  You can still enjoy yourself without going crazy.

And for you Black Friday/Cyber Monday shoppers out there, I have some exciting news too.  Beachbody is going to have some insane deals coming out!  I don’t have the exact details yet, but they should get posted sometime today.  The great thing about it is that you won’t have to wait in line for these!  I have heard that some very popular programs could be on sale (can you say P90X?) but I can’t confirm it yet.  I’ll shoot out another email with some details so that you all know exactly what will be available.

For those of you who do eat a bit too much on Thanksgiving and want to get back on track right away, you should strongly consider joining our 30 day clean eating challenge starting this coming Monday.  It’s the perfect time to start and finish the year strong.  You can find out details here: Round 2 – 30 Day Challenge

One more thought and I'm done. Can you list an archives area on the right side (like you do with tags?). Instead of just listing what will end up being hundreds of posts straight down (under "Nutrition" "Motivation" etc.) andarchives list on the right will make browsing through much easier. Right now on your "Homepage" there is no way I would read anything below like the first 4-5. It's too confusing to look though. If there is an archives section on the right with just the linked names, I am much more likely to search through old articles.
