Secret to Success

success tabWhether it’s your fitness journey, your Coaching career, your day job, or many other areas of your life, it’s easy to see others be successful and wonder how they did it. Well it’s your lucky day because I’m going to fill you in on what their secret to success is. In most cases, they use the same secret and it works like a charm.

So what’s their secret to success? How do some people seem to crush their goals while others struggle? Albert E.N. Gray says their secret to success is that they make a habit of consistently doing the things that other people don’t like to do. It sounds simple doesn’t it? But what does that look like practically?

Secret to Success of Weight Loss

Sure, some people are on medications or have medical issues that make weight loss difficult. But for the majority of people that struggle with weight loss, it’s due to a lack of consistently doing a couple key things. What do you need to do consistently to lose weight?

  • Work out regularly.
  • Follow your nutrition plan.

If it’s really that simple, why do people struggle to lose weight? People struggle because it can be difficult to stick to a fitness routine and harder to follow your nutrition plan day in and day out. With busy schedules, it can seem like it’s hard to find time to workout. That’s why, if at all possible, you should schedule it for the same time every day so that it becomes a habit.

Following your nutrition plan can be a very difficult task as well. It’s easy to give in to the donuts that someone brings into work, or eating out instead of making your own food. But people who can stick to their nutrition plan consistently are the ones who see results. I get that progress can seem slow initially, but if you take it one day at a time, and build a good, long streak of days where you follow your plan, I can promise you that you’ll see results. It’s not going to be easy, but it will be worth it.

Ultimately it comes down to why you want to lose the weight or improve your health. Why is it important to you to shed the pounds or lose the inches? If your “why” is compelling and meaningful to you, it will provide enough motivation to make sure you get your workout in every day and that you prepare food that helps you hit your goals.

Secret to Success with Coaching

If you’re a Beachbody Coach like me, you’ve probably seen posts from other Coaches who are super successful. I know I’m still working on my goals, and seeing those Coaches who are thriving always motivates me to do more. But they don’t have some magic leg-up on the rest of us, they consistently perform the three daily habits.

  • Be a product of the product.
  • Daily personal development.
  • Invite, Invite, Invite.

If you hear from any of the top Coaches around, you’ll start to understand that they are successful because they do these things day in and day out and hold themselves accountable to that. It’s not magic, the formula is right there. They just put the work in consistently, even if they have a bad day, bad month, etc. They show up and put in the work, and that ultimately leads them to success.

I think this can apply to a ton of different areas of our lives.  At your day job, if you consistently do more than you’re asked and work with integrity at all times, instead of doing the bare minimum just to get by, don’t you think you’ll be up for a promotion before others who don’t put in that kind of work?  To me it seems like most of the time, we know what we should be doing, but actually performing the tasks consistently is the hard part.  If you want someone to hold you accountable, that’s what I’m here for!  So reach out to me because my goal is for you to be successful in reaching your goals!
