Round 3 – Vegan

First, I did a round of Insanity, then it was my first round of P90X, then I moved on to do Asylum, and finally, I combined those three for what I called my “Round 2 Hybrid”.  I completed that about a month ago, and am finishing up another round of Asylum.

So for my “Round 3”, instead of coming up with another hybrid schedule, combining different workout programs, this time I’m going to make the focus my nutrition.  My next round is going to be my “Round 3 – Vegan“.  My plan is to finish the last 3 months of the year strong with another round of P90X in preparation for P90X2.  I may re-evaluate mid-round to see if I want to put substitute some Insanity cardio in, but for now I will start with the P90X Classic schedule.  I figure it’s a great way to get ready for P90X2, which I couldn’t be more excited for!  I have pre-ordered it, so it’s guaranteed to get here by Christmas, just in time for a January start.  If you haven’t heard much about P90X2, check out more info here.

I know you might be thinking I’m crazy right now.  As I’ve told friends and family, I’ve gotten some very interesting responses.  Most of them surprised, and many of them questioning if it’s a smart thing to do.  “Where are you going to get protein?”,  “How will you get enough calcium?”, “How will you get enough calories?”.  Believe me, I’ve done lots of research on this.  Plus, Tony Horton himself was vegan for a good chunk of his adult life, including when he created his workout programs like Power 90, P90X, Power Half-Hour, etc.  I don’t think anyone would say he looks too skinny or unhealthy.

Also one note, I’m not doing this for political/social reasons.  I don’t look down on people eating meat, eggs, and dairy.  I’m looking at this purely from a health standpoint.  From the research I’ve seen, a plant-based diet can go a long way in reducing the risk of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.  If you’re interested in more info, I would highly suggest looking into the China Study and the documentary “Forks Over Knives”, which I reviewed here.

I’m not saying I’m going to be vegan forever, but I really want to give this a try and commit to it for 90 days.  I can always re-evaluate after this round and adjust from there.  The only exceptions I plan on making are Shakeology and the Results & Recovery formula.  Both contain whey protein, which is made from cow’s milk so they are not vegan.  But other than that, I’m cutting out meat, dairy and eggs.  I’m excited to see how this round goes and how my body reacts and will keep you all posted!

Try with brown rice with veggie stock ot chicken stock And end up ur meal early between bed time...I can't wait my 90 days pic than hit to p90 x with insanity insane abs should be crazy
