Power Oatmeal

power oatmeal If you’re looking for a meal to give you long-lasting energy this is a great option, plus it’s super easy!  Definitely one of the fastest meals I make and it’s one I really enjoy.  I usually eat this oatmeal for breakfast, but it would really be good any time of day.  I used to always eat oatmeal hot after cooking it, but for some reason I got a little tired of that.  This recipe got me loving oatmeal again!  Again, this is super easy and should take you about 5 minutes or less to get ready.


-1 cup old fashioned oatmeal (tastes much better than the instant)

-1 cup almond milk

-2 T craisins

-1 T flaxseed

-A few dashes of cinnamon

To prepare:

-Put all ingredients in an airtight container and put in your fridge overnight or put in a lunch box with a ice pack before work.

I like to eat this cold!  I know that might be odd for some people who are used to hot oatmeal.  But I eat it cold, and the almond milk will soften up the oatmeal just like cooking does.  Give this recipe a try, it’s great!
