P90X2 Results

As many of you know, I have been doing P90X2 for the last 90 days, so I wanted to share with you all my P90X2 results!  In the coming couple weeks I’ll also write up a full review of P90X2, but in this post I’ll just focus on my P90X2 results.  I had a couple week break between my previous round and this one, where I did try to bulk up a little bit, knowing I would cut some body fat through these 90 days, and I am pretty happy with how things turned out!

P90X2 Results – Measurements

I really only measured myself on day 1 and day 90, because I was mostly concerned with the full 90 day P90X2 results.  I was looking to gain strength mostly and put on a little size while keeping my body fat low.  After taking my measurements this morning after my last workout I was pretty pleased!  A couple highlights are:

-I dropped my body fat from roughly 8.5% to roughly 6.5%
-I lost 1 inch in my waist
-I gained 1 inch in my chest and 1/2 inch on each arm

I also lost 3 lbs., which I wasn’t really concerned with, but most of my other measurements stayed very close to what they were at the beginning of the program.  I am very pleased with the drop in body fat and the little bit of size I put on in my chest and arms.  Overall, I am very happy with my P90X2 results in the measurements department.

P90X2 Results – Core Strength/Functional Fitness

This is probably harder to measure when thinking about P90X2 results, but I know I have noticed a huge change in my core strength and functional fitness.  It’s really what makes P90X2 stand out in my mind.  You are constantly put in positions where your core is forced to work and stabilize, even while working other body parts.  Also, the Foundation phase really works your core hard, and prepares you well for the Strength and Performance phases.  I won’t get too into the details of the phases here, but needless to say I’m excited to get out on the basketball court and see how I feel out there.  My core strength was a little lacking, so I feel this is one of the biggest areas of improvement when thinking about my P90X2 results.

So there you have it, these are my P90X2 Results!  I personally am very happy with my progress and love the new workouts.  There’s always room for improvement, but I am proud of how far I’ve come from my original day 1’s.  I’ll be doing a P90X P90X2 Hybrid coming up, so if you’d like to join me and have yet to pick up a copy, you can get order through this link: P90X2
