As many of you know I have been doing a P90X P90X2 Hybrid schedule for the last 90 days that I put together. My goal was to increase my strength and also put on a little size. To accomplish that I mixed in the traditional weight lifting workouts from P90X with some of the newer moves in P90X2 and really focused on strength more than cardio. I really enjoyed this schedule and would definitely recommend it to anyone out there looking to combine the two programs. I may have approached it a little differently if I knew Body Beast was going to be released during this round, but that was out of my control. I was trying to put on some size with the hybrid, and now I’m going to do another 90 days of bulking, so I’ll probably be getting bigger than I have been in a little while, but as long as my body fat stays low I’m fine with that. But back to my last round, here are my P90X P90X2 Hybrid Results.
I always recommend people take measurements and pictures and not rely on the scale solely. You get a more complete picture if you do the other measurements and pictures because your weight is just one aspect of your overall health. These are my “after” measurements:
Weight: 196.5 lbs
R Arm: 16.25″
L Arm: 16″
R Leg: 23″
L Leg: 22.5″
I put on roughly 11.5 lbs, and about 7.5 lbs of that was muscle. I wanted to put on some size, so I am completely ok with my body fat increasing along with that. It’s still in a good range in my opinion and I was expecting it to happen. I felt like I got stronger, especially during my second month as my weights and reps went up on pretty much every exercise. I also used a weight vest a lot during that month, which helped significantly. Overall, I’m happy with how the measurements turned out.
Pictures are often the best way to see progress. So as expected, since my body fat increased, I lost a little bit of definition but did put on some size which was what I was going for. I was happy with how these turned out as well.
So there you have it, these are my P90X P90X2 Hybrid results! I’m on to 90 days of Body Beast and plan on putting on another 15 lbs so I’m excited to get going on that!
