Oatmeal Energy Breakfast

Eating oatmeal is an awesome way to start your day.  It will really fill you up and keep you full for a long time.  Its slow digesting complex carbs give you tons of energy.  I realize that on the days I eat oatmeal for breakfast, I don’t get that hungry by the time I usually eat my first snack.  So if you’re looking for a really healthy (and quick) breakfast option, then try this oatmeal recipe:

-1 cup traditional oats (cook in 2-3 cups of water brought to a boil)
-1 tbsp flaxseed
-1 tbsp chia seed (an ingredient in Shakeology that provides tons of energy)
-1 tbsp natural peanut butter
-1/4 cup of milk, soy milk, almond milk, etc. (I personally like soy milk or almond milk)

Just mix that all together after the oatmeal is done cooking and you’ll have an awesome breakfast that is super healthy and will keep you full and energized.  When it comes to oatmeal, a lot of the single packs have lots of added sugar, so stay away from those!  I like to buy my traditional oats in bulk because it’s usually way cheaper.
