Check-In

Hi Team!

Long time no check-in, right?  Sorry about that!  I’ve been crazy busy lately, so I haven’t been writing as much, but I’ve been trying to stay plugged in with our Facebook group.  If you’re curious about what I’ve been up to, this will give you an idea of what I’ve been up to.  So don’t worry, I’m still here.  Still working out every day, nailing my nutrition and working towards my goals.

Lately, my workouts have been almost exclusively Body Beast.  We have a group of about 300 guys who are working hard to prepare for the Beachbody Classic, which is the physique competition at Summit.  If you’re curious about that or might want to throw your hat into the ring let me know.  It’s a scary goal for me because it seems extremely intimidating, but it keeps me motivated 🙂

My success tip is right along those lines.  My tip for this week is to set a scary goal (Halloween is coming up, right?).  But in all seriousness, set a goal that you think is out of reach.  Set it for a longer period of time so that you can have shorter term goals that will be stepping stones toward the bigger goal.  So that could look like running a half marathon, and your shorter term goals would be to run a 5k or a 10k.  That’s just an example.  But I’ve found that when I set a goal that seems intimidating, it can really keep my motivation high.

Also, in case you missed it, Beachbody has had some huge announcements lately.  For my Insanity and Shaun T lovers, there is something you should be excited about.  Insanity: Max 30 is coming this winter.  It will be like Insanity, but only 30 minute workouts.  Also, 21 Day Fix – Extreme is on it’s way too.  The 21 Day Fix has been a huge hit and now there will be an extreme version to give people a new challenge.  I’ll do full posts on both of those new programs.  Finally, there are some huge sales on Body Beast, Les Mills Pump and Les Mills Combat.  If you’ve ever been curious about trying these programs out, you will never find a better price.
