Carl Rocks P90X/Insanity/Asylum

Carl is another fellow coach and his results will really blow you away.  His diet was horrible before he started P90X and he had bought into many gimmicks looking for that quick fix.  But none of them worked.  Then he decided to give P90X and reached out to the community on for support and motivation.  After losing 35 lbs his first round he knew he was on the path to getting his health back and he was hooked.  Now after a few rounds of P90X, a round of Insanity and a round of Insanity the Asylum Carl has dropped an amazing 82 lbs! Check out his phenomenal transformation and his story in his own words.

“Before P90X, I’ve always been overweight all my life. I ate fast food for breakfast lunch and dinner. You couldn’t pay me to stay away from Mc Donald’s 2 for $2 Big Mac deals. Wash that down with a big cup of sugar filled kool aid, a couple of hostess honey buns for snacks throughout the day and you’ll get a gist of what my diet was like. I always wanted to be fit but I never had the drive to keep going I fell for the gimmicks, I bought the ab lounge and all types of other silly gadgets. Thinking I would get that quick fix…but nothing. I always fell off the wagon.

Fast forward to Mid 2009. I kept hearing about this program called P90X. I bought the DVD’s and tried  Cardio X and damn near passed out. Lol I was  like “screw this” and  put them right back down. I kept up my bad eating habits and  7 months later one night I was watching TV and I saw the informercial  for P90X again and I remembered that I had the dvds. I was at my breaking point. I was sick and tired of being “sick and tired”.  I didn’t have energy and felt sluggish all the time. I wanted to get fit and prove to myself that I could do it.  I told myself then that I was gonna get through P90X…or die trying. I remember it  like it was yesterday.  My bro and I started Day 1 of P90X on May 17th 2010. I was 245lbs  That first week was KILLER..everything ached..I couldn’t even  walk.  It was TOUGH!! But I listened to Tony  Horton  “Do Your Best and Forget the Rest”. And that’s exactly what I did. I changed my eating habits cold turkey on day one and followed the nutrition guide rigorously.

After the first couple of weeks I noticed the pain was less, and my body was adjusting to the workouts. I also signed up with and found other people that also started around the same time I did. That was my support group  and it helped me stay accountable for my workouts. I couldn’t let them down and I couldn’t let myself down. We all got through it together. By the time I finished Round 1, I had dropped 35 lbs. I went from 245 lbs to 210 lbs. I was so proud. I had achieved the seemingly impossible, I had conquered P90X.

After seeing results that quickly in 90 Days. I was eager to start another round of  X. For Round 2 I requested to be coached by Wayne Wyatt. His transformation blew me a way. I joined his teamRIPPED movement. I started P90X Round 2 with the whole teamRIPPED nation behind me. I had a new focus and a even bigger support group. I successfully completed P90X Round 2 and dropped even more weight and began to start seeing muscle definition.  At this point, I was hooked and seeing better results. After that I was eager to try other Beachbody programs. I then moved on to Insanity. I successfully finished  and my results kept  improving.  I then participated in teamRIPPED Vs Xcellent Fitness Insanity: The Asylum Challenge. That was the craziest, most fun, challenging  30 days I’ve ever had. Shaun T crowned teamRIPPED victorious. Upon completion of that I  started Round 3 of P90X and is eagerly anticipating the arrival of P90X2. (Which should be out by the time you read this.) As of right now I am 163 lbs with 10 % body fat.

A year ago I was 245lbs with 54% body fat. I’ve lost a total of 82 lbs!  I’m tearing up as I write this, because it feels good man. I am in the best shape of my life and P90X started it all.  People ask me all the P90X and those other Beachbody programs work? YES! YES! YES! They work. I am living breathing proof. You don’t need a gym to get these results. You CAN get these results from the comfort of your own home. It’s not rocket science, you just have to EAT CLEAN and WORKOUT. If  you do that, you will be successful! Through my journey I have become very passionate and knowledgeable about these products. That’s why I signed up to become a Coach and formed I have a true passion for helping people and I want to be there for you like my Coach was there for me.
