Age Is Just a Number

Tony says it all the time in P90X3.  One of his favorite lines is, “aging is for idiots.”  He is a great example of how you can look and act young no matter what your age, as he’s in his mid 50’s and has no problem keeping up with the 20 and 30 year olds in the workouts.  While we might not all be in the physical condition of Tony Horton, I think he makes a good point.  Age is just a number.  It’s never too late to start taking your health seriously, and as long as your doctor clears you for working out, you definitely should not be intimidated by exercise.  I’ve seen it first hand from people on our team.  Men and women in their 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, etc who are dedicated and are kicking some major butt with Beachbody workouts.  I love seeing that, and I love the motivation it gives to those of us in our 20’s and 30’s who want to be like that as we get older.

Along those lines I thought it would be fun to post a video that’s been pretty popular lately.  Sonny is a 70 year old body builder and has a great outlook on life.  One of my favorite quotes from the video is, “Inactivity and the thought process is what makes somebody old.”  His theory is that if you stay active and don’t start believing you’re old, then you can stay physically and mentally young.  I think he’s onto something.
